The Port of Piraeus is the main port of Athens and the biggest port of Greece. It a trading and transportation center of both international and domestic destinations. It covers the ship transport to the islands of the Argo- Saronic (Hydra, Spetses, Poros, Aegina, and Salamis), the islands of the Aegean Sea (the Cyclades, the Dodecanese), and Crete. However, it does not serve the islands of the Sporades.

The Port of Agios Konstantinos is the closest port to Athens that has scheduled departures to the islands of the Sporades (Skopelos, Skiathos, Skyros, and Alonissos).

Lavrion Port is located in the South East of the city of Athens and offers year-round service to Kea, Kythnos, Syros, Tinos, Andros, Ios, Sikinos, Folegandros, Milos, Paros, Naxos, Limnos, Agios Efstratios, and Kavala.

The Rafina Port at the East of the city offers year-round service to Andros, Tinos, Mykonos, Marmari, and Euboea. In the summer there is an additional service to Syros and Naxos.

Yachts Marinas in or near Athens

The Marina of Alimos is among the largest marinas in Greece and is in very close proximity to Athens, at the South West of the city. It offers around 1000 permanent positions and it can be reached very easily by public transportation. The operating hours of the marina are from 08.00 to 20.00 and there is a 24-hour standby shift.

The Marina of Zea is a very well organized marina just outside Athens. Since the Zea Marina is actually in the city of Piraeus, it is easily reachable by public means of transport. It has a large capacity of 670 berths and modern facilities as it was renovated for the Olympic Games that took place in Athens in 2004. The marina operates throughout the year on a 24-hour basis.

Flisvos Marina is a relatively smaller marina than the other two, as it offers 303 berths and is located near Athens, connected to the city by public transportation. Its facilities are modern and it offers high-security levels and conveniences for all the yachts that moor there.
